Chariot trailer/stroller?

I'm considering getting the cougar 2 for a jogger/trailer/double because it is 20% off and there is a $50 rebate, plus I will get the REI dividend.

My main question is how do you like this? I only have one child now and we are TTC. Is it silly to get the double for only one child? I'm hoping that if we get this one it would have a better resale value than the single.

    Get the double...I know families with one child that only plan to have one child that still got the double.  You can hold more toys, groceries, sand buckets, beach bags, all sorts of stuff in the second seats.  The singles ones are very narrow...the double comes in handy for endless outings!!

    Get the double! I've had two, both the single and the double, and prefer the double. Even with one lo, it works well. They just sit center then. Just a Chariot psa, but I've had my double for TEN years, and you'd be hard pressed to tell it from new except minor design differences. They still carry my fabric combo. I can't rave enough about how nice this is to jog and bike with. It's like butter towing on the bike, easy enough that my 11 yo can pull two kids in it. Other friends have tried it after having bought Bell, Schwinn and Hurley and rave about how much lighter and smoother ours is.
