My almost 5 month old LOVES her soft book Fuzzy Bee & Friends. It has lots of textures, colors, contrast, and one of the pages is crinkle paper. It's by Roger Priddy and I think there are several other similar books. We read it together but she frequently picks it up off the floor and looks through it on her own. We have several other soft books but this is the only one that she is interested in.
The "Red Fish Blue Fish" board book. "Brown Bear Brown Bear". He loves the bright bold images. "Here We Go" by Eric carle. Loves to play with the music and steering wheel. My faves to read to him are "I Love You Stinky Face" and "On the Night You Were Born".

I have a 4 page crinkle animal book (granimals by walmart I think 4 bucks) with a teether attached that my 3 month loves. It is light enough for her to manipulate herself. I know you probably meant for reading but this was a great find and will now be a tag on any baby present I give in the future..
Captain Calamari's Treasure Hunt. It's a cloth book and she loves grabbing it and looking at the colorful pages while I read it. Plus Captain Calamari on the cover crinkles. She's not that impressed with board books or regular books ATM.
I cycle through a bunch of books and favorites seem to be the Carle books and Boyton books, BUT never-fail are the Indestructibles books because LO crinkles them up and tries to eat them.
Fuzzy Bee and Friends, and Squishy Turtle and Friends. LO likes board books too, but always tries to eat them. It's a trade off because she's more interested in the pictures in full-fledged books, but the cloth ones are better for chewing on
