Pain with IUI

Hey all,
Today was my second IUI. Went smoothly. Yay!
Except that after, I've been having MAJOR cramping... which I DIDN'T have the 1st time around. And it's lasted for HOURS. Is this normal? Also, I know when you ovulate your temp goes up, but mine is higher than normal (99.3). I've never had that high a temp from ovulating. Could this be because of meds?

I called the RE and he said it was "normal," but this totally didn't happen the 1st time around.

Male infertility issues (husband had poor SA), combined with former cervical cancer and subsequent treatment which has resulted in scar tissue and modified cervix. MY INFERTILITY BLOG http://tocarryseeds.wordpress.com/

    The cramping with my two IUIs varied, with the second one hurting more.  Seems like every cycle can be different.  Good luck!

    I had my first IUI yesterday and I was medicated with clomid this cycle. My RE was okay with cramping, but said I should call if I ran a slight temp for more than 24hours and right away if I got one over 100.

    BFP#1 6/4/12 EDD 2/13/13 M/C 6/6/12  BFP#2 2/21/13 EDD 11/3/13 M/C 2/26/13 BFP#3 C/P
    4 rounds of clomid, 2 with IUI = BFN
    November/December Retesting/Natural Cycle = Surprise BFP @ 11dpo! Beta#1 76.6@13dpo Beta #2 276@15dpo u/s#1 6w2d hb113 u/s#2 8w2d, measuring 8w4d hb168! 10w2d hb171 12w3d Verifi results are in and good! EDD 8/23 Our Baby Girl Rainbow Baby born 8/20/2014!!!

    Yep, cramping is normal. After my 4th one, I had really painful cramping for a few days afterwards. If you start running a temp of over 100.4 (according to my post-IVF instructions), you should contact your RE, as it could be a sign of infection and they can give you antibiotics. GL to you!
