Conception/ovulation Question

Hi all - The first day of my last period was July 11, and my husband and I only had sex on July 29.  Based on this, we thought I was over 7 weeks pregnant, but I had an ultrasound this morning and I am only 6 weeks, 1 day.  Does this make sense?  The sperm would have had to live 4 days and I would have ovulated 23 days into my cycle?  Or does this indicate that the baby is not growing properly?  I really want a child and I thought I would be euphoric, but I'm 37, this is my first pregnancy, and I am feeling massive anxiety/paranoia about miscarriage. We had a strong heartbeat today so I'm hoping to rule out various bad things so I can relax and enjoy this! Thanks!

    If you had sex July 29, you could have easily Od/conceived 2,3, 4 days later.

    U/S's can also be +/- by 3-4 days... A strong heartbeat is a good sign! H&H 9 months to you!!!

    TTC #1 since July 2010
    July 2011: Referred to RE, started Letrozole
    August 2011: BFP #1! M/C @ 5wks
    September 2011 - September 2012: test, after test, after test... S/A, HCG, B/W... Diagnosis: unexplained infertility. Letrozole, Metformin... nothing.
    September 2012: Diagnosed gluten intolerance; now living strict GF diet.
    November 2012: BFP #2! MM/C @ 6wks (discovered at 8wks). 2 rounds of Misoprostal - nothing. D&C December 2012.
    May 2013: BFP #3! Hoping this one sticks! 4x prometrium/day EDD: 01/25/14
    06/03/13: 1st u/s We have a heartbeat! Team green!
    01/24/14: Team green turned team pink. Baby girl was born!
    08/05/14: Surprise BFP #4! (Unmedicated, no pp period, EDD unknown)
    08/15/14: 1 u/s We have a heartbeat! Measured 6wks 2 days. EDD 04/08/15. Team green!
    04/08/15: Team green turned team pink. Baby girl was born!
    03/29/16: BFP #5! (Unmedicated, 1 cycle TTC) EDD: 11/09/16

    I ovulated on 7/25 and am 7 weeks 1 day so I assume you ovulated later around 7/1 so you would have done the deed only 2 days before ovulation. Seems realistic. I think one question we need to know is when did you get a positive pregnancy test. This will be helpful to know!

    Thanks for the feedback everyone - I like the borrowing trouble concept.  Worrying over everything won't change the situation anyway.  It was really comforting to see the heart flutter, so I'll go with that.

    I generally ovulate late too around day 22/23 of my 35 day cycle. My first born son's due date changed by a week from 13 dec to 21 dec. now I'm pregnant with no 2 & my original due date was 24 march it's now changed to 31 march which again is a week out. We heard a h/b at 7 weeks. Generally I wouldn't worry u obviously just ovulated late this time :o)
