I confess that I'm a little resentful this pregnancy didn't happen a month later. Yes, it's a blessing and yes, I wouldn't really have it any other way, but I was ready to go back to college after 6 years this spring. Now I have to defer my acceptance because I'll be out of commission a month and a half before the semester's over. If baby had waited one more month I could have done it and taken finals a week or two early, but more than a month? No dice. I was finally making it happen and I've been dreaming of continuing my education for six years, this baby's only been a dream for three. And now I have to wait until next year. I guess we all have parts if our lives that are now different to greive.

DS1 is in his room for nap time but probably won't nap since he did yesterday. He's just singing to himself. Unless he starts fussing or DS2 wakes up, I'm not getting him. Oh and the boys watched Jake and the pirates and super why all morning. Parenting at its best.
And my pants just split at work in the thigh area I'm now trying to find a way to staple them back together.... I knew it was a bad choice to wear them today since I could see them starting to really wear and get thin in an area but they were my favorite jeans and oh so comfy!
Suucckk! Now the question is - do you buy new jeans, or just hold out until you're in maternity ones?
I ate homemade cheese fries for dinner the last 2 nights.
I think it's hilarious that this BMB is such a clusterf*ck.
We're on a roll aren't we....and no one has called out the DD that's happened today. I'm nervous to draw attention to it by making a new thread since it'll bring out even more drama for sure (so instead I'll announce it here where everyone can see it anyway)
Ooooooo I'll always bite...who DD'd?!
There was a thread this morning titled "My own UO" or something to that effect. Someone who didn't like the drama of yesterday's UO (which is understandable) and wanted to start a Thursday thread that was a little happier...I looked for it a second ago and I couldn't find it. I forget the person though because I don't "know" everyone here yet....
TB doesn't allow DD anymore, only mods/admins can do it.

I just found out a kid in DD's preschool class is allergic to peanuts, and I am irrationally annoyed. Of course I feel for the child and his/her family, and I know it could just as easily be my kid, but...
PEANUT BUTTER IS SO DAMN EASY TO PACK FOR LUNCH.
ETA: I realize I'm an asshole.
Use sunbutter. DD didn't even ntice the different in her imitation pb&j sands.

Well I do have lots of other jeans I could wear but these were my only light colored ones. I think I'm just gonna suck it up and wait.

Oh I so know what you mean! I'm a senior this year! Supposed to graduate in May! One month and it would have been oh so easier! Oh well my teachers are hopefully going to work with me! Dot give up on the dream!!:)
@lilnightmusic Thanks for the silver lining! I was already planning on going in and talking to a counselor once my application is accepted (it's a given that it will so I just have to wait for when) to see if they'll allow it. I wasn't holding out any hope though, it just seemed like too much to miss. It's great hearing that you're doing it though. Gives me hope! Cross your fingers for me, and good luck with pregnancy and school!
ETA: Thanks @squeakyfrog15! Good luck! @lia619 You rock. Here's hoping my professors are as awesome as you.

Last week, I bought DD a slide that is supposed to go outdoors but sits in our entryway with the slide portion sliding into our bedroom. This is not a small slide - it's a good 4.5 feet tall. But! I can lay in my bed and watch her slide over and over again to her heart's content while I say "wheeeeeee" ever so often and try not to puke on anything.
Best $84 I've ever spent.
I have one of those and keep it in the basement! I can lie on the couch while she plays
I really hate when I order water somewhere and they put a lemon in it! I don't want to suck up a seed:/ oh well maybe I'll start saying something sooner haha
Or people that have seen other parents do it and suffocate their babies. I have responded to babies being killed while cosleeping. I have also seen parents do it and it works out great! I do not judge. Just be careful. It can be a tragedy or it can be a blessing. I would honestly do it but my DH is all over the place at night. He has even put his pillow on me and slept 2 times so I know our circumstance it is not safe. I am jealous of those who do and do it safely!! Don't let anyone make you feel bad for making the right decision for your family!
I like to cosleep with my toddler... I know! Its bad, I shouldn't cosleep yada yada, but the kid seriously gives the best cuddles ever.
The only people that say it is bad are ignorant jackasses that have no business deciding what works for your family.

I hate lemons because when I worked at TGI Fridays, they recalled all lemons because there were traces of ecoli on them from people cutting them and not washing their hands. DISGUSTING.
I had my ultrasound today and didn't get all emotional about it. More like- well that's pretty neat-o, not weepy. I'm screwing up this motherhood thing already.

Are we suppose to get weapy at u/s? I didn't even cry when my kids were born. I was all hell ya it's over and they're sooooo cute!!

I wasn't either. I was more concerned about the heart beat and knowing if it was on track rather than being emotional about it.

That is so nasty!! I didn't drink much of it because of the seed floating in the bottom!! GROSS!!
