Happy 3 day weekend!

Anyone have fun plans?

My BIL is in the hospital and looking at a long recovery, so we took in his 3 pit bulls to help him out.  I was pretty skeptical about dog sitting 3 of these guys (but have too much of a soft spot for dogs to let them sit in a kennel for a month), but we were so glad to figure out they are all just big sweet babies. They listen, behave and don't want to do anything but cuddle. Our dog passed away back in May, so I'm excited to take some long dog walks and play this weekend.  Plus it is nice when my DH is out at night and I have a passel of scary looking dogs to keep me company!

    Aren't dogs just the best thing ever? This is a pic of my 7 month old mastiff trying to protect me while my hubby was taking my 2 month photo. He looks so serious but he is such a cuddly baby! I'm so glad I have him and my german shepherd when DH is working midnights.

    Hope you're BIL is doing OK.  Have fun with the doggies!

    Unfortunately I have to work until 1 tomorrow.  But my MIL is watching DS the whole day so when I get home it's nap time for this mama!  In the evening my coworker is having a surprise 50th birthday party for her husband.  It's a big thing at a really nice country club!  Should be fun (minus the fact that I can't drink!)  That's really all I have planned!  Sunday and Monday I'll probably just relax and play with DS (DH probably has to work).

    Aw, what a sweetheart protecting his mamma!  Our previous dog was a Jack Russell, so I haven't been around big dogs in a while, so fun. I'm really glad this has worked out so well, my husband's brother is definitely relieved to know they have a good place to call home. 

    Have fun at the party Kari - sounds like it will be great even without wine!
