Sleep talking DH

Anyone else suffering with a DH that sleep talks? It wasn't so awful before we had a baby, we'd have the funniest conversations every night. But now it's beyond inconvenient.

I just asked him to close the window, and he sat up said "kiss first" then he practically licked my face, turned around said "tricked ya" and when back to sleep.

And then on weekends when I ask him to change a diaper he dreams that he's doing it, and when I ask him again he yells "WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE I'M DOING"

  • This is the kind of sleep talking I deal with! It's funny but sometimes annoying. I haven't had to deal with it lately though b/c I've been sleeping in rhe baby's room.

You have to admit though...your husband is pretty entertaining ;)
  • Also, my SO is extremely affectionate in his sleep...so strange.
  • DH has talked in his sleep from time to time--not recently, but he will say things that are hilarious and so weird! I always have a hard time remembering the next morning what he said! It is annoying, but not as annoying as his snoring! I'd take sleep talking any day!

  • I'm sorry because I know that gets annoying but envisioning the kiss and 'tricked you' just killed me!
DH hasn't talked in his sleep in awhile but he does headbang a lot. Yes you read that right. I look over and he is ferociously lifting and banging his head into the pillow. This little endeavor makes noise and shakes the tempur pedic (non shakeable) bed!!
  • No talking here, just snoring that could wake the dead. lol Amazingly enough, Hunter sleeps right through it! And also snores... Already...

Dh does. Our most memorable moments include Dh suddenly sitting up in bed and yelling "he stole my milk and sprite", Dh shaking me awake telling me "you can only have it with two twist not three" and rolling back over and going to sleep, me telling Dh that he's over to far and him telling me he's on the edge when in reality he's in the middle and IM on the edge(this happens frequently), DH elbowing me in the nose, and DH punching me in the back of the head. Good times, not!

Uhhhh! I get hit in the nose too! Hurts :( the middle and edge thing applys to us too, annoying.
  • Yeah, the "tricked you" part almost made me wake up baby. Made lol so hard!
  • This thread is hilarious!!! Breaking my stitches over here reading it.
