I have never posted before, but I want to hear if anyone else has been told they have extra fluid around the baby and what the result for you was. I am worried but doctor doesn't seem to be at this time. This extra fluid is causing BH contractions. Write back if you have experienced this with your pregnancy and did all turn out ok. Thank you!
Do you mean high amniotic fluid? I did not know I had on the high side of normal until it went higher then normal at 39 weeks and the Mfm decided to induce. Ds was born healthy. I think the complications can come during delivery so they induced so they could closely monitor me. I think the risk is the cord coming out before the baby. Don't google it makes everything sound worse.
yes the amniotic fluid is high and yes I did google it the other day and ended up crying all night to my husband, I am at 31 weeks right now so my docs are monitoring it. Neither one is overly concerned but I am scared a bit. You said your baby was born healthy! That is a relief! Thanks for replying!
I had a lot of extra fluid (Polyhydramnios) with my DS. I was put on bed rest at 32 weeks because it was causing contractions, not just braxton hicks. I had NSTs 2 times a week because I was unable to feel him kick. I ended up carrying him until i was 37 weeks.
PS- This may be TMI, but make sure you have a waterproof mattress pad! When my water broke with him it was WAY MORE than with my DD.
Thank you for your reply, you went through what I am going through right now! I am on NSTs 2 times a week as well and on bed rest at 30 weeks, glad to know your little one is a healthy child! makes me feel good!
I was high risk for other reasons and was already on bed rest. My dh though said it was like a water explosion when the Ob broke my water the ds came flying out then another huge gush of water.
