(yay! another update!)
DD2 finally met her teacher this week (she was on vacation when DD2 started 2 weeks ago) and so far so good. She (DD2, not the teacher
) cries a bit at drop off, but does fine the rest of the day (which is SUCH an improvement from her old daycare). DD2 is the youngest in her group by quite a bit, but her teacher says she listens and understands very well. It will take her some time to get used to DD2's "toddler-ese", but even that doesn't seem to be too much of an issue. So yup. I think I made the right decision.
Now I know it hasn't been very long since DD2 started at her new DC, so the novelty of it all might be a reason why she doesn't cry as much as she did at the old place. However, my gut is telling me that this DC simply is a better fit for her. I hope I'm right
