I went home and stayed there from Sunday to Wednesday night this week....and when we got to the NICU last night, holy bananas. Kate is HUGE!
Well, huge compared to how she was a week ago, but still...shes huge!

She's 2 pounds 7 ounces as of this morning, and her last length measurement, about a week ago if I'm remembering right, was 14 and a quarter inches long!

She just had her feedings increased to 23 ccs every three hours, so we're just 7 ccs away from a full ounce at feeding times. She had a little more aspirate than usual today, but it's still a minimal amount, and well below the limit her doctors set. She's showing feeding cues: Sucking on her pacifier during feedings, rooting around when she's being held, and last night during kangaroo care she was trying to latch on. Her doctor still wants to wait until she'd be 32 weeks gestationally to try breastfeeding though, but that's only a week and a day away! I'll just continue being a slave to the breast pump until then.
And as you can see in the picture above, she also came off her CPAP mask on Sunday! She is still receiving CPAP through a RAM cannula, but gets to go on just regular oxygen for several hours a day. Her limit for that increased from two hours to four hours today, so we are working towards weaning off the CPAP!!! She's doing a great job regulating her breathing and rarely going below the 90s for her oxygen level.
She has been doing awesome in regards to heart spells. I think she went almost a week or more without one, but she did have a little one last night. She came right back up after about 5 seconds though, so it's not as scary as it used to be!
I added a couple more pictures to the bottom. She's allowed to wear real hats now instead of just her little CPAP mask one, and it's so cute I can't even stand it. And, the girl has a ridiculous amount of hair! No wonder I had such bad heartburn!!!

Thanks for your continued thoughts and prayers!

Re: Kate is Great. :)
I'm doing better than last week. Making a conscious effort to not just sleep, but rest when I have the chance. After I held her this morning, I was going to take a half hour nap and then pump...I fell asleep for three hours. My chest was KILLING me after that haha!
Continuing with thoughts and prayers.
