Is acne typically worse when pregnant with a girl?

K I know every pregnancy is different but I haven't had acne in years and it was actually one of my first pregnancy symptoms this time. I have 3 boys and a girl already and had no acne for sure with my last two boys can't remember earlier than that cuz it would have been 6 + years ago also when I was pregnant with my daughter I was pretty young so I don't know if I would have really noticed. I do remember she had the worst baby acne of any of my babies. So anyways what do you fine ladies say?

    Maybe it's worse cuz its a puppy. :) Just know this pregnancy is SO different than the others that I remember well. I'm not dying to know gender and I know drano, heart rate, a needle and thread etc etc wont tell me. :)

    When I was pg with DD I had bad breakouts. None this time except for the random pimple here & there - so I'll let you know. Hahaha

    The old wives tales say that your skin is worse when you're pregnant with a girl because she is "stealing your beauty." I broke out a lot more than normal with DS though so who knows!

    I'm Interested to know as well ! Bc my acne has been terrible ! I hope that means a lil girl :x

    My dermatologist and OB told me acne is usually worse with the first pregnancy. Mine is much better this time around, likely because my body is already used to the hormones.

    Unsure.. I am starting to break out on my back and chest. I starting breaking out on my face weeks ago.

    I broke out like crazy when I was pregnant with DD and my skin was better than it's ever been in my life when I was pregnant with DS...might be coincidence, but the OWT held true for me!

    The breakouts really have nothing to do with the gender. Some peoples bodies just handle the shift in hormones differently than others. Never really had any acne until I was pregnant with my son. Yet my friend who always had acne and was pregnant with a girl suddenly had clear skin. This time around I haven't had any breakouts though.

    Mine is horrible , but this gets me excited for a baby girl too!!!!!

    The idea behind this wives tales is that your skin is affected by having a girl due to the estrogen she is now producing. It is a fun guessing tool, but just a guess.
    With my DD I had horrible skin. Huge zits (I was blessed with great skin) and dry patches of skin that would flake off...those dry patches were the pits! I am starting to have those symptoms again now...is it BC its another girl? Is it because bad skin is a pregnancy symptom for me? Idk, but I love to guess it is another girl.

    I dunno this gender yet but I had the worst Acne of my life when pregnant with my daughter! With this baby nothing, my skins been great.. We will see!

    My skin was flawless with my daughter.  This one isn't quite as good.
