  Before I got to your question, I was going to ask your question. Maybe I'm naive, but I was under the impression that you're supposed to avoid anything you have an allergy to.

  Yeah common sense would say that if you are allergic to something the you need to stay away.

  
  

  
  

  But I also dont buy into avoiding foods that can be an allergen because the baby growing inside could become allergic....I just don't think it works that way.

  I absolutely LOVE bananas. I ate them on a regular basis my whole life- until one day, out of the blue when I was 24, I had an allergic reaction to them. I mean, I can't even touch them! And I can roll in poison ivy without a reaction. I think allergies are such a crazy and unpredictable thing!
