HCG Levels at 5 weeks pregnat

Hi everyone... I am just curious if anyone with or without twins has an answer to my question. On the day of my missed period (Tuesday, August 20th), my hcg levels were 356. 1 week later (Tuesday, August 27th),my hcg levels were 5,565. Is this normal for 1 baby, or high like we may be having twins? Just curious. Thanks all!!!

I'm 5w5d and as of this past Tuesday, my HCG level is 1,905. I was at 42 last Tuesday and went to a 402 last Friday.

It's interesting that everyone's HCG is so different. I keep telling myself, it's not the number, it's the doubling.

It really is crazy that the numbers are sooooooooooooooooo different. I guess it's maybe God just proving to all of us that HE is still in charge, no matter how "down with the program" anyone feels they are! My OB scheduled us for our first sonogram at 6 weeks and 2 days. Anyone think we'll be able to see/hear the heartbeat then?

at 5 weeks 3 days my levels were 3,054 and 2 days later they were 5,104

I had an US today and we have a heartbeat! 117 bpm

Betas vary so widely from person to person that they're not going to be a great indicator of single or twin pregnancy. Only an ultrasound will tell you that. Try to be patient and you'll find out soon enough how many are in there.
