My turn at L&D

Went in for very very little movement this morning. I'm talking like 4 or 5 little bumps since about 2am. I ate, drank a ton of ice water, had a cup of coffee and nothing.

They got me all hooked up and there he was, just asleep at the wheel. I'm dehydrated a little, so gotta bump the fluids up even more. But he looked good. No contractions while I was there, Bp was perfect, u/a was fine, his fluids are fine, he's just being a brat.

Felt dumb for going in, but would rather be safe than sorry.

I have almost done that twice. It freaks me out when she doesn't move much. I'm glad everything was ok!

Glad he's looking good!. Yesterday when it was my turn I said I had been drinking ice water and they told me to try something with a little sugar like apple juice, that should wake up your baby. Worked for mine.

Glad everything is ok! I told the nurse the same thing when I went in on Sunday, but she said to never feel bad about getting it checked out. Better to be safe than sorry!

This nurse have me shit for drinking ice water. She said it really doesn't matter how hot or cold it is, that your body will heat it up. I get that, but he's always moved around after I eat or drink something. His activity had definitely dropped this week and I've just gotten progressively more worried.

The only thing I can think of is that he's going through a growth spurt and just sleeping.

I did this with my first pregnancy, but when I went in they gave me a Pepsi and he went wild. I tried a soda earlier in the day and nothing! Felt like an idiot, but like you said, better safe than sorry!

Glad to hear you are doing okay. LO does that to me often,and it never gets less scary. I haven't gone into L&D any of the times because as soon as I decide to go in he starts partying away.
