extra comfortable shoes maybe? Sorry, I dunno really other than to say im sorry for you! No chance of getting a rolling chair at all or some type of stool?
I am struggling too. It is so hard to teach when you are so exhausted. It doesn't help that it's 90 degrees in my classroom and I have 3 kids with oppositional defiant disorder. On the bright side, we won't have to teach for the full year!
Yeah, you just do! I was teaching during my first pregnancy. I got SUPER lucky and had a student teacher for a big chunk, and I also switched to using things like the over head projector more that let me sit. And more project based stuff.
Mama to a little girl born July 2011 and a little boy born April 2014!
Comfortable shoes & snack thorough out the day. When I was knocked up with DS, I worked FT, taught at the local community college PT, was a case manager for the local alcohol treatment facility PT, and sold Thirty-One. Some days, it SUCKED, but I just made it happen. I was actually just thinking how crazy I was back then. Now with just doing Thirty-One and my FT job I can't imagine squeezing in anything else!
I'm not a teacher, but I spend a lot of time on my feet and in clients' houses. Particularly challenging are the houses that smell not-so-lovely with my current superhuman sense of smell. I stopped wearing anything with heels because I'm getting clumsier by the day and kept twisting my ankle on people's stairs and walkways and such. And I keep snacks in my purse so when I get out of a particularly smelly house, I have something to nibble on to try to prevent me from barfing. So far it's worked. I did have to make an emergency stop at the grocery store once for some ginger ale when my pretzels weren't working. Being out in the field is a major portion of my job, so unfortunately I just have to suck it up and try to get in and out a little quicker than usual if I'm not feeling great. Best of luck to you finding some tricks that help get you through the day.
I'm a teacher and FTM and wondering how it will work . For now, I'm just sitting down a lot more than I used to, since I'm so darn tired. We'll see what happens if I get MS

I'm a teacher and this is my third. It's not a big deal. You sit a little more, you're a little sore by the end of the day at the end of the pregnancy.
Thinking about the same thing. I start day after Labor Day and I'm very nervous! No morning sickness yet, but I have a feeling I'm just going to crash every day after school. DH will just have to fend for himself all evening lol

I'm a teacher too. I have just been trying to sit down as much as possible, which is nearly impossible. I've also been wearing flip flops because everything else kills my feet. I've kept crackers on my desk and tried to discretely eat a pinch as I walk by. Good luck
You suck it up! I'm not a teacher...but I am a nurse! And last week I spent the entire 12 hours cleaning up other peoples vomit. You just gotta push through!

I'm a nurse as well. It sucks with long hours and constantly on your feet but you have no other option but to press on through the day. I've gotten into the habit of coming home, napping for a hr, eating dinner, doing some reading, and going to bed.
