Levi was born Saturday, 8/24, one day past his due date, after about 33 hours of labor (only 9ish active) and 18 minutes of pushing. He was 6lb 15oz, 19.5" long, got 9s on both APGARs, and has been BFing like a champ. With the help of DH, our doula, and an incredibly supportive nursing staff, I was able to get the med-free birth I had hoped for. It was the hardest thing I've ever done but it was so amazing. We've been home since yesterday and are settling in nicely.
This little guy was so worth all the pain and tears shed over the years. He's perfect and we are beyond blessed.
I'll post pics and a birth story when I have a few minutes. I know there were a lot of late August mamas so I'll be checking in for updates on all of you ladies.
