Loveys, blankies and other things in the crib

Three questions for all of you:

So what is in your LO's crib besides the baby?
What does your baby wear to sleep?
Crib, Pack n Play, Co-Sleeping, other?

Re: Loveys, blankies and other things in the crib

  • 1. DD will be 6 months on the 3rd of September. We didn't put anything in her crib until last week when we put a lovie in her crib, she plays with it before falling sleep. The lovie is a little white bunny from the North American Bear company. It was on amazon for cheap and DD loves it.

    2. She wears a sleeper with a sleep sack that has sleeves on the top.

    3. Crib

  • 1. Just a binky, but I've been thinking about starting to give her some sort of lovey or blankie.
    2. long sleeved sleeper with a swaddle with her arms out
    3. Pack N Play right now, transitioning to the crib one of these days.

  • 1-nothing. I tried to give her a lovey but it made her mad-like she wanted to play, but was tired but the lovey was too distracting.

2-merlin sleep suit for night time but we just started putting her in a long sleeved sleep sack for naps to begin the transition out of it, sinec she can roll both ways now. she just took a 90 min nap in it, and adjusted herself so I think she'll be fine and hopefully by next week we are just in the sleep sack (we went from double swaddle, to sleep suit, now to sack. baby steps LOL)

3-crib since the first week we were home

BabyFetus Ticker Little Riley-our first little girl coming March 1st, 2013 (or sometime around there;)
  • 1. A little A+A security blanket. (It's completely breathable so I'm ok with it).

    2. Sleeps in a footed sleeper or a onsie/pants. Just depends.

    3. Crib.

  • 1. I made my own A+A security blanket (someone had passed down some A+A for Target swaddles so I cut one up and put binding on it!) and it has really helped. She rubs it on her cheek and falls asleep.
    2. Long-Sleeved onesie and a minky Halo sleep sack.
    3. Pack n Play--we are waiting for construction on new bedroom to finish so she can have her own room and a crib!!

We put nothing in the crib. I was always told no no no so until we hear otherwise then nothing. LO tends to pull any blanket or anything over his face anyway so better safe than sorry.

Footed pjs with a onesie underneath.

    Crib
  • 1. Light weight blanket
    2. Just a onesie
    3. Crib since she was 6wks
  • 1. Blanket
    2. Footed PJ when we have the air on
    3. In the crib (since 6 weeks)

So what is in your LO's crib besides the baby? - lol um...a monkey stuffed animal, a lovey and his soothe and glow seahorse. I'm trying to get him attached to something to make the daycare transition easier.

  • 1) 2 stuffed animals in the corner to give LO something to look at when he wakes up and two tightly rolled blankets that I tuck around him to sort of give the feeling of being held that I'll have to ditch once he starts rolling around

    2) LO wears footed jammies, once it cools off we might use a sleep sack or just thicker jammies

    3) in his crib, we co-slept for almost 3 months though.

  • 1. A teddy that she sometimes cares about and a paci that I sometimes use to get her back to sleep. And a headsupport thing that is meant for a car seat. Because anytime she is awake she pushes herself with her feet and ends up slamming into the side of the crib. The headsupport keeps her in place and she snuggles into it.

    2. Thin footed sleeper and sleep sack. We will use heavier sleepers in the winter.

    3. In her crib for the last month. Before that a pnp in our room.

  • Nothing in the bed with baby yet, but once he can roll I'll probably put a toy in there.

DS sleeps in footed long sleeve jammies.

He sleeps in his crib most of the time. If he wakes up too early (5 am), I bring him in with me until I get up at 6-7am. I sometimes bed share for an afternoon nap.

  • 1. Nothing else in the crib, but I'm about to put up on one of those fish tank soother things.

    2. A onesie. Sometimes with pants. He's a hot baby. I kept putting him in sleepers every night but he would wake up every 45 minutes because he was so hot.

    3. Crib
    Lilypie Pregnancy tickers
  • 1. During naps I put one stuffed animal in there. Sometimes he hugs it, sometimes he ignores it. At nighttime, he's in there alone.

    2. Feeted pjs or a onesie depending on the temperature.

    3. Crib
  • DD has a sleep sheep but it is hanging a little higher than her mattress so she can't get her face up in it.  She sleeps in a footed sleeper - no sleep sack right now, it is just too warm for it but come winter, she'll use one for sure.  She sleeps in a crib 99% of the time and spends the other 1% in bed with us between 5 a.m. and when I get up for the day at 5:30.
  • She has her pacificer and a small blankie she hugs to sleep. I always move it to the end of the crib once she is asleep. She sleeps in a onsie, in the magic sleep suit.  She has been in her crib since about 5 weeks.

  • I put a little stuffed rabbit in there last night and she played with it until she fell asleep, so that will stay! Other than that, I drop a couple pacis in there so that she can reach out and grab one if needed.

    Sleeps in a footed sleeper.

She sleeps in a pack n play and comes into bed with us for the last couple hours after she wakes up/ nurses, then back to sleep.

  • LO sleeps with a pacifier and as of last week, a small lovey too. Plus a sleep sheep is tied to the crib bars. He wears a onesie and if it's cool enough in the house, also pants and socks. He's been in his crib in the nursery since 3 months.
  • 1. A small rabbit blanket that she either hugs or plays with if not sleepy. 2. Long sleeve, footed pj. 3. Crib (since 3 weeks old).

  • Paci, super thin blanket and a bear he chews on when he can't quite get the paci back in his mouth once he loses it.

Either footies or a long sleeve top/pants and socks

    Arms reach co sleeper
  • Paci and a lovey (one of those tiny fleece blankets with a stuffed animal attached. It's a zebra). She has it for naps and to fall asleep at night. Once she's asleep I take it out.

    She sleeps in footed jammies

    In her crib
  • Nothing in crib and onesie to sleep. She doesn't like extra clothing or blankets... She got that honestly :)
  • 1. Stuffed blue elephant 2. Footed sleeper 3. Crib since 11weeks
