Let's get this party started!

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to post with an update following my baseline/supression check that I had this morning.
I think that it went very well.
I had 12 antral follicles in total (today is CD4 following BCPs and I have been on 10 units of Lupron since 8/18).
Dr said that everything else on my u/s looked great.
I am waiting for the nurse to call me with the results of my blood work, but she said that if the blood work shows her what she thinks it will, then she is actually going to have me start the follistim tonight instead of Saturday. She said that everything looks ready to start stimming now, so she would rather not wait 2 extra days. She was surprised that my AF came so quickly following BCPs, so that is why she didn't think I would be ready to start stims until Saturday, but now she is pretty sure I am ready.
So, now I wait for my call from the nurse, and then we shall see what my instructions are...

If I start Follistim tonight, I will drop down my dose of Lupron starting tomorrow AM, I will also start doxycycline tomorrow and then my next monitoring appointment would be on Sunday. After my Sunday appointment, they would tell me if I need to adjust my Follistim dosage, and whether or not they also want me to add in Menopur.

I will keep you posted, but looks like we might be ready for take off!

  • Hi! Things are going well. Last night was night 3 of follistim. My appointment this morning was just blood work, waiting for a call this afternoon with results and instructions for tonight's meds. Next ultrasound is Tuesday AM I think - they will confirm when they call me about my blood work. Still on the lupron in the AM, but at a lower dosage. And I added doxycycline pills on Friday. So aside from the more complicated cocktail, not too much to report. The follistim shots sting a bit, and I am at the point where I am starting to feel fullness/bloating in my abdomen (all though it is mild today and expecting it to get much more noticeable as the week goes on), and I am getting daily headaches, but that's about it. Thanks for everyone's interest and continued support! :)
