Alternatives to Henry

Trying to decide a baby boy's name. We like very "hipster" and alternative names (Otto, Hugo, Oscar). However, we've fallen in love with Henry along the way. It's just too popular for our style. Any suggestions for other names that are a bit out of the box, similar to Henry? Also, one requirement is that the name must be a bit universal, as we have family in out of the country.

You could use Henry but call him Hank. Other suggestions, Harrison, Hudson, Hugh (I like Hugo!).

ETA: It's a form of Henry, or perhaps Henry is a form of Henrik, and it may appeal to internation family members.

I have the same problem with Henry; it was #5 in Oregon last year.

I love Harlan as an alternate old man name.

we loved Henry and went with Harrison. Thinking it wasn't very popular. There were two others on his soccer team!

I love Hugo and it's in my DH's family tree but he won't go for it. Henry was on our list too but I'm getting tired of hearing it so I'd go Harrison nn Harry. Otto is also really fun.

LOVE Arthur with the nickname "Art" or "Artie"

Henry is trendy but it's a classic. If you truly love it just go for it.

Henry makes me think of Oliver, Elliott, Harrison, Lucas

I have a Hank. He is not Henry.
Hiram Williams is Hank Williams' real name.
We also have an Otis which is of the same family as Otto.

I've heard Huck as a nn for Henry. That way you could still use Henry, your LO would have a more formal name to fall back on and you'll have your less common name.
