At this age, kids learn through play. The best thing you can do for your child's cognitive development is let them explore outside. You don't really need to Stress about the rote memorization stuff--kids will learn it naturally when they're ready. If your child has a natural interest towards numbers, counting, letters, etc you can find plenty of toys to encourage those skills.
Google Kumon books. They have quite a few & are great! They start very basic such as color a circle inside a picture of a plum. It's called Let's Color https://www.amazon.com/Lets-Color-Kumon-First-Workbooks/dp/193324111X It helps them learn their colors while teaching them to color in the lines without putting too much stress since they will be using a purple crayon to color the middle where everything around that circle is already purple. That is just one example they have many books at every learning level.
