Bad reaction to baby oatmeal?

We started introducing solids this past weekend. We tried bananas first, but A showed little interest. Yesterday we moved on to baby oat cereal (Gerber) and he was into it, but today when we picked him up at DC his provider said he'd been pooping like crazy all day- and that it was very watery. Since there has been nothing different except the cereal, I am guessing that is the cause? Anyone else have a similar experience?

    Like Mkc5869 said, we had some constipation the first few days. That was easily remedied with some fruit. Could it be a virus and just a coincidence?

    We also had issues with constipation from oatmeal.. I agree with PPs, possibly just a coincidence and the culprit is a virus?

    We had constipation when introducing solids as well. Some prunes cleared that right up. Hope it's just a coincidence and that DS bounces back quickly!

    Thanks ladies. Maybe it is just a coincidence . We'll try something different tomorrow the try the cereal again this weekend and see how it goes
