DH worries about DS because when he's at home he still takes a long nap. I am pretty sure it's fine since he's happy and alert when he's awake so he's not lethargic. He will sleep 12-13 hours at night and take a 4-5 hour nap when he's at home. When he's at daycare Monday-Friday he gets about 2 hours of nap which is standard in that room and is still usually a happy kid.
We are on a stay-cation this week, and for the last 4 days he has taken 4-5 hour naps each day. I'm thankful for some time to get things done around the house, but DH keeps asking me "is this normal?" I don't have much reference for other toddlers, my sister's kids finished naps by 2 years old.
Did anybody else have a big sleeper around this age? (nearly 3 years old)
Re: Is there such a thing as too much sleep?
Has this always been the case or is this newer? How's his growth, fairly normal?
FWIW my LO is just 2yrs, but sleeps about 11hrs at night and 2-3 for nap. From what I've seen online, that's pretty average/normal for toddlers.
