I had my 8 week appointment last week and while I was there I asked about ultrasounds and why I hadn't had one yet. My Dr told me that they only do early ones if the mother isn't sure when her last period was (or for other known problems). Because I was on top of all that info during my confirmation appt. my earliest ultrasound will be the NT test.
I guess I should've lied and pretended I didn't know when my LMP was before I concieved. If only I knew! Lol.
(Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful that I didn't *need* an early ultrasound, I'm a FTM and I'm just super excited to see my little bean).
Re: Apparently I should have lied!
How long are your cycles? Were you tracking ovulation with temps or OPKs? They did my 8 week dating u/s last week and I was only 7 weeks along, which made sense to me since I ovulated in CD20 not CD14 like the doctor's like to assume.
I wouldn't ever have actually lied, I'm just anxious to know that everything is okay and that this is really happening!
I guess I can only assume that the Dr knows what she's doing, right?
