2nd time mom, bleeding 12 days postpartum

Hi everyone,
I gave birth to my 2nd child 12 days ago, and still have some bright red blood. Usually in the morning I have no blood or just a little bit of brown blood. I usually go all day without bleeding, and then by late afternoon the bright red blood appears. Has anyone else experienced red blood almost two weeks after giving birth?

    Is it a large volume of blood? I had retained tissue which was causing me to keep bleeding 3 weeks later. It was A LOT of blood though.

    Not a lot of blood, not enough to fill a pad- probably the same amount as a medium flow period, and usually only in the evening. So weird.

    I bled for 8-9 weeks with mine. 2 weeks is definitely normal. :)  It's probably more in the evening because you've been active all day.

    I agree it is probably due to accumulated activity. Check in with OB if you are worried but it still sounds like normal range.

    Yep.  With DD it had stopped by 2 weeks.  With DS, it was almost 5 weeks of red bleeding.  As long as clots aren't too big and you aren't filling a pad an hour, it's normal.
