What do you feed a sick/teething baby?

Our first 4 teeth were NBD...Didn't even know they were coming in.  This new one is ridiculous.  She's got diaper rash, a fever, and she's not eating...had 6oz of milk this morning and half a banana.  That's it.  Refused lunch.  Keeps throwing her sippy on the floor and only wants water.  Won't take a bottle.

Suggestions on what to give her for dinner?  Would you give her something she loves to see if she'll just eat?  Any other suggestions?

TIA!

  • I agree with Mands, try the tylenol before you eat and then try cold foods. Favorite foods are also a good option. Did you try giving the formula in her sippy cup?

I hope she feels better soon!

  • We have one of those silicone feeders (like the mesh feeder) and give her frozen fruit in it for teeth - I have also given her frozen blueberries hole (totally up to you on comfort of that)

sucking can be hard on teeth coming in

honestly if my LO went even a few days with lower intake she wouldn't be that bad off so I try not to stress about it...

  • Thanks ladies.  She's crazy about melon so I'll throw some in the freezer for her. :-)  She's just about off of formula and has a ban on milk today in sippy or bottle, so I'll continue with the water and try again with the milk at bed.
