Cabin fever

Does anyone else get bad cabin fever? I'm a SAHM, and it's come to a point recently where I have to get out every single day if it's just Caitlin and I alone all day. Even if it's just walking over to the grocery store across the street to buy a pack of gum, just something! I love being a SAHM and spending time with LO, but I can't seem to entertain her enough all day. Plus mama just needs to get out!

I joined 3 local mommy groups, and that gives us something to do at least once or twice a week. Not all the activities are appropriate for her age or at good times of the day, but it's good for now. Plus as the weather gets cooler, we'll be able to go for walks. It's too unbearable to go walking during the summer in South Florida.

On today's agenda, perhaps a trip to Target. I was just there by myself on Saturday, but what the heck!

I'm a SAHM also. I get cabin fever a lot. We live in a very small town and there isn't much to do. I look forward to it being cooler out so we can go on more walks, lately it's been so hot out it's not even an option! DS seems to get bored fast and it's a struggle to keep him entertained all day long.

I just became a SAHM and I get very bored. But since ds is not on a nap schedule yet it is really hard to plan outings. Once we are on more of a routine, I feel like we will do more things. But for now, walks to dunkin donuts or the dry cleaner is about all the excitement I often get for the day!

Same boat here. It's too hot and humid in Central FL to take little man anywhere unless we go before 9am. I don't live close enough to any mall to wander around. We do try to take a Target run once a week and at least one grocery store trip to get out. I can't wait for the weather to turn to fall. We're out of indoor toys/activities by mid week!

My LO gets cabin fever more often than we do. We have to leave the house at least once a day or hes a mess.

We definitely have to get out of the house every day. Park, play center, friend's house, errands, or just out for a long walk. Now that Mila fits in the double stroller it's been much easier.

I wish I had the option to go walk around a store or a mall with LO. We would have to drive a half hour to an hour to do so.

I've been like this since day 1, and DD seems to take after me. I feel sorry for you girls down where it's too hot to walk outside. We do go out every day unless the weather is really bad... DD loves being outside so she is always up for a walk. On the crummy days we walk in the mall, or go to the playgroup. I got around the urge to spend in the mall by leaving my debit card at home.

What about libraries? Our local ones have lots of events like story times for babies. Or you can even just sit and read a magazine with your LO. One free option to consider!

I usually went out at least once a day with Rhys.... T the grocery store, Target, to visit a friend, for a walk at the park, etc. now I am back at work and insanely jealous of you... I miss him so much, but I do think that I appreciate the time we have together even more after being away from him all day.

Where abouts in South Florida are you ? I used to live down there. And yes I know about cabin fever! Im normally a homebody so its not so bad usually but sometimes I just gotta get out! Goin to an aquarium today

Ugh yes. it's 100 plus every day (Texas) and my older DD is stir crazy while baby takes that long morning nap. Thankfully summer will down here in another month - 6 weeks so we are almost there!

I love being home but I also have a 2 year old to help keep me busy and entertained. The weather had been gorgeous here so we go out in the backyard every day to run around. I do activities with my toddler, entertain baby, clean house and do meals and my day is very full. We are also still unpacking from our move two months ago so I feel like there aren't enough hours in the day!

I am a SAHM and some days, it's really tough. I make sure that I get out every day with my DS whether we go to Starbucks for coffee or run to Walgreens. Target is our favorite place. I swear I'm there 3x per week. We go to the grocery store often. I go and visit the ladies I used to work with, too. I cannot stay home all day, it drives me crazy! Plus, the more active we are, the better DS sleeps. It's so dang hot here that walks are out of the question. I think we will pick up swimming here soon.
