s/o Holiday shopping

So, I went to Cotsco today---and I was walking around the book section. I turned around and they already had holiday stuff out---decorations, wrapping paper and toys. Needless to say Reese squealed when she saw the toys. She thinks EVERY store we go to is a toy store---so when I told her we WEREN'T going to a toy store, and then she saw the toys--she gave me her "I told you so look."

I know Hanukkah is ridiculously early and I am already starting to plan for it--but I definitely wasn't expecting to see Christmas things out.

Re: s/o Holiday shopping

  • I find this to be so frustrating. I really enjoy the holiday season, but there is such a thing as "too much of a good thing". If they start playing Christmas music soon, I will not darken the doors of a mall or department store until after Thanksgiving.

  • It was frustrating. Unfortunately because Hanukkah technically starts BEFORE Thanksgiving--it falls Wednesday night, I feel like have I have to at least start thinking about things--but definitely wasn't ready for the Christmas stuff. Although the CPK babies WERE cute. (But I already have 8 items/toys that ARE on my list for Reese--and a doll isn't one of them.)

  • LOL my DD thinks every store we go to is Target. We went to Sam's Club today (I wish Costco was closer!) and they had Halloween stuff out, but definitely no Christmas or Hanukkah stuff that I could see. August is waaaaay too early for that shit.

When we left, DD said, "Target fun"!

  • A store that has A toy= toy store; A store that has a train table set out= Thomas store.

    There is a difference.

They barely had ANYTHING Halloween out.

  • Yeah, I noticed the Christmas stuff at our Costco as well. I think it's ridiculous that things start so early. We barely are finishing back to school season and there's already Halloween candy and pumkin kits. We're 2 months away people! My brother posted a countdown to Christmas already and I reprimanded him. I do not want to see that countdown.
