Re: fur ball

  • Ulgh, I hear ya. We have a dog and a cat.

After DD1 was born, we agreed upon some dog-free areas of the house.  Mainly her bedroom, our bedroom, and her play area, which is 2/3 of the living room.  He still has free roam of the rest of the house.  I relaxed a little about the living room once she started walking.

I mop the hardwood every morning and vacuum at least 3 times a week.  We'll probably go back to keeping the dog out of the living room play area when DD2 becomes mobile and starts crawling.  I will still put down quilts or throw blankets.  The fur sucks, but there's not much you can do other than clean frequently!

  • We get ours shaved at the groomers. It really helps with the hair. I have a rug right now that's shedding worse than the dog. It's about to drive me crazy.
  • We keep her bedroom pet free and anytime I lay her down I put down a blanket. I also don't have a big space so I vacuum the main area almost daily. Sometimes LO sleeps through it in the morning, and sometimes it helps her to wake up so I get my day started!
  • We don't let the dogs in our bedrooms or the living room. Its kinda sad but there's no other way right now.

  • We have three dogs and its a never ending battle to keep the fur at bay.  I really don't like carpet in areas other than bedrooms but our house has it in the living room too. I wish my mom and MIL were still here because they vacuumed every single day when they visited after LO was born.
