When does "morning" sickness start?

I'm 5.5 weeks in, just had my first day back at teaching, and am dreading ms. I have mental horror images of me spewing all over a kid. So far no nausea, just minor upset stomach when it's empty and heartburn. When is it suppossed to start? Wanna make sure I'm prepared!

It's different for everyone. Statistically speaking, it spikes between 6-8 weeks. However; some women don't get any at all (I never did with my first).

So far I'm 8 weeks and have had no morning sickness. I have been really tired and if I eat too much I feel sick. Have not actually gotten sick yet. My mom was never sick with my brother of I so I'm hoping it is the same with me!

Started gradually at week 6 for me and got really bad week 7. Now I'm almost 9 weeks and it seems to be tapering off (1 day of feeling ok anyways)

I thought I was in the clear kept saying OMG I have no morning sickness something must be wrong... Well I jinxed my self 5 weeks 5 days it hit me like a tun of bricks :-(

With my first it started around week 10 and lasted 2-3 weeks non stop. My doc did say while its uncommon it does occur later in some mommies. Hopefully you get to skip it all together!

I'll be 7wks on Saturday and since 5wks 3days I haven't been able to get out of bed without anti-nausea medication. I sure hope this wears off soon 'cause this sucks!! :+/

Anytime from conception/implantation to delivery.

More precisely, it's usually in first trimester. Most women who have morning sickness get over it by 12-14 weeks.

I was nauseous with my first, but never actually sick.

I was sick during weeks 3 and 4 with my second. I didn't know I was pregnant at the time, but when I missed my period I then knew why I had been sick.

This time around I have been nauseous off and on for about 4 weeks, and sick a few times. The first time is what prompted me to test in the first place.

** not actually sure when I'm due...doc is going off LMP, but I'm breastfeeding an infant, so cycle may be off...ultrasound scheduled for Friday.

With dd1 I started at 9 weeks and was still throwing up after she was born. I lost a lot of weight (32lbs) with dd2 I started at 8 weeks and got a couple weeks off around 24-30ish weeks then it came back till the day she was born. Sooooo... ya never know. Yay! lol

I'm 8weeks tomorrow and I've had morning sickness for at least 4 weeks. My question would be "when does ms end?" Lol

Right at 6 weeks for me. I'm 8 weeks now, I get nauseated in the evenings. It'd probably be quite tolerable if my back didn't turn into a stiff board by 3 and my legs didn't ache like a crazy biotch. :-P

With this pregnant about 5 weeks 4 days the nausea started. With my DD it was during week 6 and last til 16 weeks. I'm seriously hoping I have it easier this time

Ideally never. I never got it with my first and I seem to be skating through without it this time, only a little nausea. It can crop up any time during pregnancy, even in the third tri. Hope it skips you all together!

you may never get it!

Last time it kicked in around 5.5-6 weeks. This time it is earlier, started only a few days after I got my + test.

Its just nausea for me, all day long. Last time I only vomited a few times, not daily or anything. this time no vomiting yet thankfully. But the nausea gets old really quick.

luckily around 14 weeks last time it eased off!

I was nauseous by 4 weeks. More so by 5 weeks, more by 6 weeks, but no throwing up yet. I didn't throw up with my first two so fingers crossed. with them I felt better by 9 weeks so we'll see this time around.

First pregnancy I had none, I'm about 5w and luckily nothing so far! But seems like 6w is when it kicks in for people. Keeping my fingers crossed that it stays away! However, I already have some acid reflux. Ugh.

I'm almost 8 weeks and I've had a few nauseous moments this past week, but not horrible. I did dry heave a few times, but nothing came up (such an awful feeling). Some of it was stress about going back to work, I think. Hope you avoid it!

Just texted my mom and found out she never had morning sickness with my sisters and I. Just some queasiness! Neither did several of my aunts! Hoping it runs in the family!!!

I am 5w 4d and today was, by far, my worst yet... No throwing up but I constantly felt like I was going to. With my first pregnancy I had almost no nausea at all.. Last pregnancy I had constant nausea starting at 4 weeks and threw up only a handful of times.. Who knows what this pregnancy will bring, but if it gets worse than it was today... I may die. :-&
