First Dr. Appt at 5w 5 days

My first appt is scheduled for August 30 at 5 weeks & 5 days. Do you think there will be an ultrasound at this appt? Just curious from those who have already been!

    I'm curious too. My first appointment will be on the 3rd and if its too early too hear a hb, why do the ultrasound? I can personally wait till later for it.

    Me too. I think it will freak me out if I hear that they can't hear a heartbeat because its too early! I would rather just wait...I'll post an update on Friday. Feeling nervous :/

    I had my first ultra sound at 7 weeks heart the heart beat, saw the baby, and even saw the heart pumping!! Hope all goes well!!!

    Depends on your doctor. If this is your first pregnancy with no history of losses or IF problems, your first apt will likely be history and pregnancy confirmation and no ultrasound.

    Well, I thought it seemed early for an appt but when I called last week, the nurse scheduled me right away. I guess we'll see!

    I had my first appointment on the 22nd. They did an ultrasound (transvaginal) & turns out I was roughly 5w5d...saw the heart beating. I go back on the 5th for another ultrasound!! Good luck!

    My first appointment was last week and, for me, it was just medical history, vitals, and blood/urine tests.  I see a genetics counselor next week and will also have my first exam and ultrasound.
