New to TheBump - 1st baby Due 4/7/13

Hi Ladies.

I just had my first doctor appointment yesterday where they bombarded me with 95 million books and flyers.  It's overwhelming!  I'm apparently 8 weeks today but i don't feel any symptoms, which makes me nervous.  Ok..I'm a little tried and sometimes my boobs hurt, but that's about it.  I say "apparently 8 weeks" because the doctor is counting from the 1st day of my last period which was July. However, on Aug. 4th and 5th i had 2 days of light to heavy spotting.  The doc told me he isn't counting this as a period and it could be implantation bleeding.  I guess doctor knows best..?   

Has anyone else had anything similar?

    Also, i obviously meant 4/7/14.  Apparently, it hasn't sunk in yet. :)

    No ultrasound yet.  I have my next appointment in 2 1/2 weeks and i believe that is the 1st ultrasound appointment.  So i guess my doctor will be able to tell then if i am definitly 8 weeks.

    Welcome! I'm new around here also. (: Implantation bleeding is normal, with my first child I had what seemed to have been a full period, I found out at 13 weeks that I was pregnant because my body never have any indication that I was pregnant, I had no pregnant symptoms, my cycle was completely regular and I have birth to a very healthy 9lb3oz little boy. (: Don't stress yourself out quite yet, momma!

    I feel like if I didn't have the positive test and positive blood work I would have no idea I was pregnant. Thanks for your replies.  Makes me feel like i'm not a crazy person.

    Wouhou!! We have the same due date (for now). I have my first ultrasound tomorrow AM, and its my first pregnancy, IM SOOO EXCITED, but also a bit nervous. My colleague found out her baby had no heartbeat at her first U/S... I try to be positive though...

    We're sisters lol. Sorry to freak you out. I too am due on the 7th with baby no. 1 and to be honest, I found out I was pregnant by accident. My first appointment was today and I probably won't get an ultra sound for another week or two. Welcome!

    Congrats and welcome to the bump! I had my first u/s at 4 weeks to check for a viable pregnancy and go back at 7 weeks to have another one to hopefully hear a heartbeat. I just started throwing up today (yay!!!lol!) but good luck and welcome :)

    Some people are just luck and don't have to feel like crap. I'm nauseous and my boobs are super sore.
    My due date is 4/5/14. Welcome to the boards!!! Don't let the forums freak you out, your pregnancy is different than any others, and BE EXCITED!! :)

    Congrats! I'm due April 4th. I had some bleeding for a week almost my first exam. It was very nerve racking but everything was okay. My doctor told me that you can bleed when the embryo implants itself further. I totally understand how you must feel. Good luck. I have my second ultrasound tomorrow.

    @purespark. Congrats to you as well.  Have you had an ultra sound yet?  I feel like may have by week 8.  I haven't and am anxious to have one at 10 1/2 weeks.  I'm wondering if my due date will change.

    Ugh it is. I'm hoping that these 2 1/2 weeks go fast.  I can't wait to find out what's going on in there.

    @deidremaria Well don't make us jealous or anything, Caribbean Momma.  :)  I'm coming to visit after this baby is here!  I'm in Wilmington, Delaware where it is currently raining it's butt off.  I actually took today off from work.  Wasn't feeling so hot when I woke up.
