OT: feeling terrible

I feel awful we are out if state for two months for my hubby's work and I have a company car to drive while running errands today I hit an rv with bikes on the back that was hanging out over line and broke the passenger side mirror. By the time I got turned around they were gone. When we got home I called the police to report it they said no one had reported anything and took my info. I then called the owners wife (I didn't have his phone number and the hubby is traveling on business). Got them both called and explained and I can't stop crying I feel terrible that it happened, terrible that the other people left, and terrible that they were both so understanding and seemed unconcerned. I just want to crawl in bed with the blankets over my head and sleep until I forget
