Babies: 6 - 9 Months

What are we eating!!

What are you feeding your 7-9 month old?? What finger foods???

Re: What are we eating!!

  • We offer pretty much anything we eat - unless we have frozen pizza or something with a lot of sodium. Examples of things she's had in the last week: strawberries, apple, orange, banana, broccoli, corn, pork loin, baked ziti, multigrain crackers, toast, whole wheat pancakes, snap peas, scrambled eggs...

  • Wow, I need to get on this food thing. I've still been doing mostly purees for my (almost) 8 m.o.
All the real food, he's a little here and there but I worry...is it too big? is it soft enough. And every time he gags I have a heart attack.

  • I have a 7 month old and she's had pretty much only pureed foods so far.. starting with fruits and veggies, then pureed meat mixed in with the veggies.  We often mix cereal in too.  Also added YoBaby yogurt, which she enjoys.  Just this week we started giving her little mashed bites of food that we're eating for lunch or dinner, but she doesn't have any teeth yet, so just small soft food she can gum.
  • He eats mostly stage 2 and sometimes stage 3 baby foods. He gets puffs or crackers for a snack. I have given him peeled cut grapes, mangos, chicken, speghetti, watermelon, shredded cheese, and a few other foods to feed himself, he gets some in his mouth and plays with the rest. He just turned 8 months and I'm trying to start on mostly table foods. Some things make him gag but it teaches him what he can swallow and what he can't.
  • BLW as well here. She eats everything we eat, though lettuce has been interesting.
