My husband's reading "DadLabs" and likes it a lot! There's a lot of good information, but guy humor mixed in...plus some spot on tips about things not to say, do, etc:) I saw a couple bad reviews on it, but bought it anyway since it sounded like they just didn't get the humor.
My hubby likes "she's having a baby and I'm having a breakdown". He likes it because its funny. But I think it has really helped him understand what I'm going through.
Random question I would like to get my DW a book because she thinks I'm making some of these symptoms up so I don't have to clean!!! And I was wondering is the guy humor offensive or do you think I would be okay giving her one of these. She mows and knows how to drive a tractor so she is not femme but I don't want to offend her!
My DH read "the expectant father" about 1/3 of the way through then got bored. I think unless he asks for a book you're better off sending him Internet articles- keep it short and sweet to maintain their attention, haha. My DH said to me "I'd be one of those awful pregnant women who just finds out then waits for the baby to come without ever researching anything, just tell me what I absolutely need to know and we'll be good."
The Birth Partner by Penny Simkin is good for labor and childbirth info. I had a med free birth and couldn't have done it without MH's constant help and support.
Re: Good Books for DH?
My husband just got this one the other day.
