Do You "Feel" Pregnant

I'm a little over 5 weeks and when I first found out I was pregnant, I was having some mild symptoms.

The past few days I haven't "felt" pregnant. I almost want to take another test just to make sure.

Maybe I'm paranoid because I'm PGaL?

  • Not really. Aside from feeling bloated and a bit tired, I don't.

  • Sometimes yes sometimes no. Sounds like what you're feeling is normal for five weeks. Early pregnancy is nerve wracking!

This process is so frustrating. I'm 7 w 2d and out of nowhere my breast soreness was gone bf I went to bed! I did work out at the gym last night so maybe that moved fluids or something but as a PgAL myself that was the first thing I noticed the day of my mc last time. I don't feel the same as last time but this is def my first scare. It can be normal, but ill just have to wait and find out. I haven't had many symptoms in general.

  • My symptoms come and go so for the most part I don't feel pregnant. We aren't telling anyone either. Once we do the big announcement I will really feel pregnant.

  • I have ups and downs, one day I feel very pregnant, lots of symptoms, next day nearly nothing! Enjoying every minute tho :)
  • I definitely don't: havent had any M/S so aside from sore breasts, frequent peeing, and occasional tiredness i really don't. It doesn't seem real to me especially since we are waiting to really tell people until after the screening in 3 weeks. Hopefully after that it wil feel more real.
  • Well I feel nauseated all the time, tired & bloated so because of that yes.

However I would say this time I don't feel all "OMG I AM PREGNANT PREGNAAAAAANT!!!!! My life is forever changed! The world is magical! " the way I did with my first.
  • Whoa! This is me exactly except 6weeks! In the beginning I was gassy nauseous and tired and then poof, nothing!

I am still bloated (which I think is in my head sometimes) and have a heightened sense of smell but other than that completely normal. This is my second so I'm not sure why I'm so freaked out. Maybe bc I had a ton of symptoms with my first so it's making my uneasy that my early symptoms left.

I was nauseous yesterday and I was happy, lol! I am debating taking another test too! Would it still show pregnant if something happened??? Anyone know?? I'm thinking it would so there's no point and I'll just have to wait another 3 weeks! Ahhh! I'm going crazy and keep wishing I'd get some "real" symptoms...

  • Most times of the day. I feel nauseas, sore boobs, tired, and constantly going to the bathroom. There are times I feel good, and then I get nervous.

  • I was so carefree the first pregnancy with DD. This time I'm terrified something is going to happen. It is 10 years later and I'm at the AMA of 35. Yikes!
  • Just enjoy it while you can! I hit 6 weeks on Saturday and like clock work the fatigue and nausea hit me like a ton of bricks and haven't let up since. Blech.
  • Usually yes. I had a couple of days with no cramping/pressure, no headache, no nausea, etc. and it was weird! I was a little nauseous yesterday morning and a slight headache so I felt a bit "better" lol. It's weird that towards the end of week 6 I felt ok for a couple of days. So far today nothing too bad either. With my first two weeks 6-9 or so were constant nausea, so I expected that to continue. Have to see. Hoping it doesn't come back later and last longer!

  • yes, but i'm one of the farthest along on this board, at 9 weeks.  when i bend over, i can feel a fullness in my abdomen, and when i overwork myself, i get cramps that are reminiscent of what i felt during 2nd and 3rd tri when i'd push my body too far and get achy and tired and sore.  i also do have a definite little bump now, so i look like i'm early pregnant too.  plus, i have to modify what i do to cater to my SCH, so that is a constant reminder to me.

early on, no... i didn't feel pregnant other than having big sore boobs.
  • I'm glad you posted this because 2 weeks ago I felt pregnant and some days I don't. My boobs don't feel as sore as they did and I just feel like I'm getting my period. Besides from everything making me sick the past 2 days, I don't have the same feelings I did last week...it's weird
  • Nope. Still kind of waiting for reality to set in, but I'm only 5 weeks

  • I'm 8w4d and I don't feel pregnant at all! I did from weeks 5-7 though cause I was constantly throwing up but I haven't since then and it kinda scares me that I'm not so sick anymore (although I should probably be thankful!) but the sickness gave me some sense of security that the baby was doing okay.. My symptoms now are more bearable- going to the bathroom a lot, slight nausea, being tired all the time, and sore boobs. I'm hoping that after I watch the ultrasounds at my appointment on the fifth I'll feel more pregnant:)

  • Like you my first PG was several years ago so it is hard to remember exactly how I felt but this time definitely seems worse to me.  AT 5 wks, though, I still felt pretty normal.  My boobs were a little sore and I was definitely ready to crawl into bed at night, but other than that I felt like myself.  FF to wk 7 and that has changed a lot.  I have had a few days of extreme nausea all day long, when I could barely drag myself off the couch.  Other days I feel pretty good.  I am trying to exercise, as I did pre-pregnancy, but last night 10 minutes on the stationary bike made me feel sweaty and nauseous for about a half hour.

So it could still hit you or you could be one of the lucky ones who has a pretty easy PG.  FX that it's the latter for you!

  • Hello, I'm 5w2d ( baby # 1 ) and don't really feel much either!! I took 4 home test b4 I went to the doctor, and then I got another bfp at the office.. Maybe I feel tired, and my boobs are starting to feel a little tender?.. But I was thinking I would feel something more for sure!! Keep me posted on any new feeling :)
  • I did last week.  had cramps, bloat, and boobs sore.  Im 5 weeks today...only boobs sore in morning.  no cramps or bloat.  and thank god no nausea!

Okay I'm lying.... Bloating. I'm so bloated. It's ridic. Then again I think I'm bloated 95% of the time. LOL
  • I'll be 9w tomorrow and I have just been really tired. I don't have the nausea like everyone else but there are times when I have cramps and there are other times that I feel fine. It does come and go, so I wouldn't worry.
  • I feel less pregnant this time around then I did with my other two sons.
  • I also took a couple tests and felt a lot of relief at my Dr's appointment today when I got to see the baby because I've been feeling so not pregnant.
  • I feel pregnant. I'm 9 weeks, and for awhile I just felt tired. I can feel it when I do certain things, or move wrong. PgAL brain had me crazy earlier on. I doubted everyday that I was still pregnant, would have bet I would have another mmc. But, it's getting better for me. I hope it gets better for you, too.
  • Not really...not yet.  I am 5 weeks tomorrow.  Boobs are sore and I'm starving even though I just ate not too long ago, but really not feeling like it MUST be pregnancy.  I think I have been a little paranoid too because I had a loss....just worry.

  • Not really either... the tiredness has kicked in within the past 2 days and nothing sounds really good too eat. But, I wouldn't say that's what I thought "pregnant felt like". No nausea or MS here &  I guess that is the #1 symptom my brain thinks of being pregnant.

  • 8 weeks 5 days and the only symptoms I really have are nausea and sore nipples and a little on the tired side.  I felt more pregnant weeks 5 and 6.  I even feel skinnier since week 7.  Mostly feel more sick at night.

Hi there. I'm also 9 weeks with SCH. I've seen 2 obs in my practice and both have different takes on it. One says basically its not a huge deal, the other says another bleed could cause the cervix to open. What restrictions are you on? Of course it's worrisome, but how concerned is your doc? Thanks!!
  • My boobs feel pregnant. The rest of me hasn't caught up yet.

  • Not really. It's more like I believe it because if I weren't I'd HAVE to have had a period by now. But not because I really feel pregnant.

  • Too funny! When I was 5 & 6 weeks pregnant, I kept telling everyone that I didn't feel pregnant and I couldn't wait to.... be careful what you wish for. Now I am nausea a lot and have thrown up twice. So yeah, now I feel pregnant (8weeks)!
