baby on a bus?

We have the opportunity to go to DC for the day for free with DH's company and kids are welcome. We would love to take DS, but we are going down by bus...would we put him in his carseat? How would that work? Any thoughts would be helpful....if it's unsafe we clearly wouldn't do it.

Greyhound-type bus or local transit? I'm sure there's a statement on their website for the former but I suspect you can just wear him. I don't think those buses even have seat belts, do they? For the latter, just wear him or bring your stroller.

I think wearing him would be best. I know on the city buses around here, strollers are supposed to be folded up and the kid held. You might be be able to check the policies about strollers and car seats on whatever busing service you will use.
