Who else wants to spill the beans?

So I'm only 6 weeks pregnant and it's killing me not telling anyone! My hubby and I said we were going to wait about 2 years (until I finish school) to have a baby- but that kind of didn't happen. And no one has the slightest inclination we're pregnant (my mom even mentioned on the phone this morning she hates having to wait two years or so for a grand). So I know it's going to be a huge shock and surprise when we tell everyone.... Anyone else having those thoughts of just shouting it from the rooftops?

Re: Who else wants to spill the beans?

  • If all goes well today, I plan on letting close family know. If my U/S doesn't go well I'm glad that I didn't tell anyone.

  • Yes - so much so that the only people that don't know are at work (but my bosses know). I'm 9 weeks and we really started telling people at 6. I would even tell work friends but my fear is if something happened I would get non stop looks of pity (I've witnessed that here :( )
  • I'm going in for my 8 week u/s tomorrow and I am ready to tell everyone if the Dr thinks every thing looks normal.  DH wants to wait until we are out of the first tri.  It's my second kid and his first....he's a little bit of a worry wort.  I definitely am ready to tell everyone who will listen that I'm pregnant!
  • I am telling after my ultrasounds Tomorrow as long as it goes well. I cant keep a secret. I will only be 7 weeks, but I am excited and tired of keeping a secret.

  • I can't keep a secret at all, but my first ob apt. And u/s isn't until the end of sept. and I will be 11 wks. So we might spill the beans a little early, and hope everything works out.
  • we also only have told immidiate family...parents/siblings.  am dying to tell my best friends!!Im 5 weeks.  Have US in 3 weeks..its killing me!
  • I told my family, a few close co-workers and my boss. I can't stand to keep things in. Just praying everything goes well.
  • I want to tell people because it'll be exciting to see their reactions, but once that wears off I'm dreading the questions like "have you thought about going back to work and who will watch the kid."
As much as I would like to shout it front the rooftops right now, I'm going to savor the "lack of questioning" for the next 3 weeks :)
  • After seeing my LO today its soooo hard, I want to tell my mom so bad! I have a plan though, I want to tell everyone at the same time, idk if I can wait though!
  • My DH & I finally told his sister last night... Was such a relief considering I am a clueless FTM & she has a 7 m/o :) still trying to wait to tell my parents though.
  • I wish I could because it's easier. But I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and have yet to make an appointment (insurance issues no worries it'll be soon) and we definitely are waiting until we see a heartbeat, and would prefer to wait until 12 weeks unless #3 decides to show itself earlier than I'd like and this 99 degree weather doesn't let up so I can wear hoodies!

  • Seems like we're all right there together! My first u/s visit is in two weeks and then a week and a half after that will be my mil birthday so I think we're going to wait till then to tell everyone. I'll be 10 weeks and that's long enough to wait! :) Even though my hubby and I want to wait till were 12 weeks, but just soooo hard to keep this secret!
  • My mom keeps asking me if I am but I'm waiting to tell our family at 8 weeks, which is after my first prenatal appointment.

I waited until I got my u/s and then I spilled the beans. My brain does not enjoy secrets.

  • I'm only 7 weeks but I told my immediate family after my first ultrasound since this was an unplanned pregnancy and I'll need their support. I'm waiting until my next ultrasound at 9 weeks and if that goes well I'll tell my boss and close friends. I agree, it is so hard to wait! Now that I'm over the initial shock and freak out, I'm so excited and can't wait to share that excitement!
