Echogenic bowel....when do I start panicking???

At 30 weeks doctors think baby has a bowel obstruction...despite the twenty million horrible outcomes on the internet Ive decided to hold off on panicking just yet. At least trying not to anyway.

    My LO has an echogenic bowel it means bright bowel which can be from drinking blood or from a chromosomal abnormality, a bowel obstruction is different.

    PP is correct bowel obstruction and Echogenic bowel are 2 different things. My LO has had both and the dr said they are unrelated. Echogenic bowel is a brightness on the bowel usually from swallowing blood or chromosomal abnormality (LO Echogenic bowel was found at 20 weeks and completely gone at 30 wks). LO had a dilated loop of bowel (usually caused by an obstruction) found at 28 weeks, gone at 36 weeks. We also had the mat21 test done at 20 weeks and chromosomes were normal.

    DS had echogenic bowel at 13ish weeks.  Had Mat-T21 test negetive, went away by 20 weeks.  I never had any bleeding which they said could be another cause.  He was born perfectly fine at 39 weeks.
