Auntie: District won't confirm document receipt?

I dropped off our consent to evaluate in person, but was told they "don't do that" when I requested signed confirmation that it was received on this date. I left empty-handed rather than get off on the wrong foot with the administrative staff. What should I do as follow up? I've been mailing everything up until now with a receipt upon delivery requested from the USPS.

Thanks.

  • Did you keep a copy of the signed consent?  If so, you could always make and mail a copy of it and then mail it certified with return receipt.  You could also, I would think, email the school (not sure the exact person) stating that you wanted to follow up with the school/evaluators that you had dropped off the consent to evaluate in person on X date.

  • Yup, we keep copies of everything. It seems shady to me that they wouldn't acknowledge it, though. I haven't heard good things about our program and I'm adding this to the list before we even sit down with them.
