For the love of puppies, my allergies are out of control. I'm highly allergic to ragweed, and every August is complete hell for me. When I was getting steroid injections for my neurological disorder the past year and a half, things were much better and I didn't experience hardly any allergy effects if any. I miss those days. I'm craving a small cortisone allergy shot from my doctor. I'm going to ask my OB on Thursday at my a/s follow up if it'd be okay especially it being a one time thing. I've read it's okay to get one if they're not reoccurring. My RN friend that works in OB also said it'd be okay but I want to ask my OB first. I'm at my wits end with it and it's really flaring up my nerve disorder in my back from all of the constant sneezing, so I'm starting to have a lot of pain in my back again. Blargh. If it's not one thing it's another haha. I just feel like the small dose of cortisone would be better than all of Benadryl I've been taking every day for about 3 weeks. Oh, and also, to top everything off, I woke up with conjunctivitis (pink eye) this morning. How awesome is that?! Crusty, red, inflamed, and nice and sore in my left eye. No contacts for me today! I don't know how I contracted this BS, but I feel like I'm back in elementary school. I'm going to eat an oatmeal cream pie and go back to bed with my box of Kleenex. Good riddance!
