Let's hear the best advice and the worst advice you've ever received related to fertility, TTC or TTCAL. It doesn't have to be advice from TB.

    Best: Fertility Friend!

    Worst: A recent one- you know your body best and when you're ready to start trying again, go for it, even if your doctor is recommending you avoid for a certain number of cycles. Gotta love that one!!

    Best advice: Fertility Friend & Find a new doctor who is more proactive, that I feel more comfortable with and whose staff actually takes time to listen to me rather than just tell me I have bad luck

    Worst advice:  My MIL tells me that I'm "not getting any younger and to start trying because sometimes things take longer than you expect."  I wanted to TP her.  We are trying and it is not as easy as we thought it would be.  Tf she recognizes this fact, maybe she shouldn't bring it up since maybe we are trying and maybe it's none of her business!

    FET #2- Beta #1 (9dp5dt) -332, Beta #2 (11dp5dt) -1027, EDD 1/30/2015, Missed M/C, D&C 6/19/14

    IVF/ICSI #3 (Lupron Down Reg) - Oct 2014 - 38R, 28M, 27F, 20 frozen on day 5, 16 normal penguins!!

    FET#3 - February 1, 2015, Prep begins 1/13

    Best: my mom pushing me to see an RE worst: yesterday from MIL - if its not in the cards I will still love you the same and the world is full of such awful things that maybe it's good not to bring a child into it - I changed the direction of that convo quickly!

    Off BC, NTNP since June 2011

    Started acupuncture/herbs July 2012 

    First BFP 9-8-2012,EDD 5-15-2013, heartbeat of 175 at 8w2d, mmc discovered on 10-26-12 (11w6d) Cytotec on 10/26/12

    8/23/13 DX with non-IR PCOS

    Second BFP 9.12.13, EDD 5.29.14, heartbeat of 114 at 6w1d, mmc discovered on 10-18-13, D&C on 10/23/13 (baby girl/Trisomy 10) 

    Third BFP (surprise at Beta draw after d&c) on 1/10/14 (15dpo), EDD 9.20.14 Please be our RAINBOW!

    Best-be proactive but don't obsess. This I apply to every aspect of my life!

    Worst-I'd have to think about that one...sometimes well meaning people may say stuff that comes off wrong (like-"relax and it will happen") but I know they have good intentions. Luckily I haven't really gotten advice that turns me off.

    Best: would have to be FF (even though I just started my 2nd month using I find it So fascinating and love actually knowing what's going on)

    Best: Everything I have learned here; Fertility Friend, temping, charting

    Worst:  Stop "trying" and it will happen. - Response: If we don't have sex during my fertile window, it's pretty impossible to get pregnant.

    You have plenty of time. Response: I'm 34, I have DOR, no I don't have plenty of time.

    Worst: There are so many "dandy" ones. Probably the one that grates me the worse is "your time will come". Really?!?!? And what if it doesn't? Huh?

    (( @kountingsheep )) My family gives me advice all the time that is directly the opposite of what they do or did.  I think often that it is because they regret how things turned out for them or how they handled things...I'm sure she meant well, but that doesn't make it hurt less.

    Best: FF/using OPKs to determine aprox. ovulation. Also, to not be afraid of "bugging" the doctor with questions and concerns.

    Worst: relax, it will happen. And, if Kim Kardashian can do it I'm sure your baby will be fine.

    Worst: "There was a reason for your m/c... the baby had a problem and your body knew it, so it's better this way."  WTF?

    Missing my little one lost at 9 weeks on 2.24.13. brokenhearted but not broken... 

    d&c 5/21/13... Still Healing, Still Standing... 

    MMC discovered 10/2/2013, TWINS... d&c 10/7/2013.  I still miss you, little ones. 

    Surgery December 2013 to remove a 10+cm fibroid... Open myomectomy. Benched for 3-9 months... 
    Will TTC summer Summer 2014 we hope!

    Dear God, Since I couldn't hold my little one in my lap and tell him about you, could you hold him in your lap and tell him about me?

    Best : lurking and reading comments to let me know I'm not the only one who feels certain ways

    Worst: hurting myself at work last week. Being sent to see my dr and him saying "so how's the pregnancy" (he forgot to look at my file to see I mc'd) then saying "there's always this month!" Really?? Thanks for telling me. I thought the calendar ended in July.
