~Tuesday Symptom/? about symptoms Check in~

Good Morning April Momma's! This is a check-in to SHARE,VENT AND ask QUESTIONS about whatever symptoms you may be experiencing today.

So tell us -

Week/Days:

Baby #:

Symptoms/rants:

Questions:

Since this is a common questions I'm going to address it here. If your symptoms are fading please know that this is normal, they will come and go all through out your pregnancy, it does not mean that you will definitely miscarry. Symptoms are not a good way to gauge if your pregnancy is viable or not. The only person that can tell you that is your doctor or midwife.

People, feel free to offer some advice!
*Keep in mind that we are not doctors and are basing our answers off personal experience. *

Last night I woke up with pretty bad nausea around 3 am (was just waiting to vomit!) and watched three Baby Story's. I knew I had to get some sleep so I took half a Zofran and went back to sleep. I was feeling so good the last week, I knew it was too good to be true :((

I have a question for those on zolfran or maybe have more experience then me. While I'm not actually throwing up, the nausea is making me miserable. I'm in tears almost every day. If I call the dr will they give me a prescription to help or does it only help with throwing up?

Thanks for all the help ladies, I really appreciate it.

Symptoms/rants: I wanna cry anytime someone hugs me because my boobs are so sore. I need sleep! Constantly getting up to pee (all day & night). I wish some food would taste good, it's really annoying being sick and hungry at the same time. But it's worth it!

Barely any symptoms and semi-freaking out since I started with a lot of symptoms and had a lot of nauseous with my first. Trying to remind myself every pregnancy if different but doesn't help much.

I guess I am bloated and have a heightened sense of smell. Boobs weren't sore last time and not this either. No real nausea except yesterday afternoon for a little which actually made me feel better! Some smells really turn me off but my gassy-ness is completely gone!

@emily041285 when I first got pregnant, I talked with my doctor about Zofran. I have a job where I meet with a lot of clients and am constantly on the go, so feeling very nauseous and laying down all day wasn't an option for me. She prescribed me Zofran even before I started feeling sick "just in case". And I'm so glad she did! Because there have been a couple instances where I've felt like you - completely miserable with nausea and it's helped me be able to function and work.

I highly recommend asking for it!!

I have a feeling today is going to be a Zofran day :(

    1st pregnancy

Symptoms: slight nausea, food isn't as appealing as usual. Otherwise, nada. Anxious to have my first doctor's appointment to confirm and then get far enough along to start telling everyone! :-)

Symptoms: Nausea has really kicked up over the last week. I haven't thrown up, but I have been dry heaving like it's my job. On the upside, my boobs are not as sore.

Is it sad that I've only been up for 3 hours and I already want a nap? :-/

Symptoms for today: early morning nausea, major aversions to sweets (including fruit) and continuous (going on 2.5 weeks) of bloating. My nipples are crazy tender, which only is an issue when doing the morning lotion bath.

Symptoms: Super tired yesterday. Got to bed by 8:45, which was lovely! Otherwise, just a bit bloated, nauseous, and headachy. Very excited to be at 5 weeks today (though I guess until my doctor's appointment, it's all guessing).

It's been fun having my parents know. We've been emailing about it, and it's fun to have someone to talk to besides DH.

    Have a great day!

Thanks for asking @Serenla, I'm pretty much feeling like death this morning :)
I've been having the same bathroom problems but I don't really have any advice on how to help with it. I hope you can figure out something soon.

@Emily041285, I think Zofran could help either way, I plan to ask for some at my appointment tomorrow. I haven't been throwing up but I'm having a hard time taking care of my kids because I'm just feeling nauseous.

    Baby #: my first!

Symptoms/rants: The only symptoms i have had are constant head aches which doesnt suprise me since i have grown up with  migraines. and cramping which i was told was normal. Oh and of course i am just exhausted! So far i am handling it all  very well... we will see how week 6 treats me! Rant- I know its normal and i know every one probably goes through the same feelings but i am just terrified of loosing this baby! i miscarried before at 5weeks and i dont see my doctor for another 2 weeks! i just want some re-assurance that this baby is just fine. i feel different this time which i am trying to take as a good sign but i just constantly worry!
Questions: Does anyone know of any medicines that are ok to take for headaches? i realize i will suffer no matter what because i have always take extremely strong medication for migraines but i need something to help even a little bit.

Tylenol is one of the only approved meds for headaches. Sorry! Try some of the non-medicated techniques to soothe migraines.

Symptoms: INSOMNIA- killing me. The night sweats returned last night. Some nausea but i think that may just be from the chocolate milk i devoured. A nice combo of constipation and the runs. Occasional one-sided cramping- could be a hemorrhagic cyst i had diagnosed a month before my bfp. Fun.

Questions: Anyone else feeling like something "just isnt right?" I didn't feel like this last time but for some reason i have this nagging feeling...

@nikki912 I'm sorry your feeling that way. Is there something going on that's might be bringing it on?

Really there isn't any concrete evidence- just a general feeling of 'something isn't right'. I had heard women say they felt this before their m/c but i felt completely happy and fine before i had mine so who knows. I have my first appt Sept 3rd, so until then just trying to think positive thoughts.

I'm sorry, and I hope that these feelings leave soon. I think I kinda have an idea how you feel, I felt this way right before my first u/s with my last pregnancy, I have no idea why I felt that way but I guess it was warranted since it was bad news. Just try to do you best to stay relaxed (I know, not easy). Hang in there.

    (1) 6weeks, 5days (2) FTM (3) Nothing sounds appealing and I've noticed certain food aversions based on smell (Chinese food) (4) Question: how did you select your OB? Did you choose based on the hospital you want to deliver at? I have the name of an OB associated with a hospital just 2 miles from my house. I don't know if I should schedule an appt with the doc or schedule a tour of the maternity ward first.
Formatting still off; need to use laptop to figure out settings.
I went based off of recommendations from friends and the hospital I preferred. Remember that even if you start at one practice that its not the end...if it isn't working out you can always change doctors.

Feeling worried and stressed. First official appt in sept 3. I'm counting down the hours. I have had nausea and dry heaves. No vomiting though and sore swollen breasts. The occasional cramp. And today some peach yellow colored discharge (hoping its normal). Praying for good report next Tuesday!

Symptoms: Frequent trips to bathroom, slight fatigue, sore breasts, constant hunger (seems to be subsiding over past few days)

CONCERNS: I've been pregnant once before (3 years ago) and miscarried around 8 weeks (but when doc gave ultrasound he said only seemed to be 5 weeks?). My first sign was loss of symptoms, and I'm just worried of that happening again. :(

Symptoms, a lot of trips to the rr, a little nauseous, nothing sounds good to eat but I'm starving. My lower back was having spasm's this morning but It think it's because DS has been stuck to me like glue and wanting me to pick him up a lot since the weekend. Also I'm tired. I have been tossing and turning and uncomfortable. It must be from everything loosening up, but it is not comfortable. I can only imagine how the last month will be. sighhhh

There is actually an acupressure technique that helps with migraines and tension headaches. Grab the fatty/webby area between your thumb and forefinger kind of towards the middle of your hand. Hold it tightly (almost pinching!) and you will feel the area hurting just a little bit. Squeeze and firmly massage that area until the pinching sensation goes away. Then, release the area quickly. Repeat this process on your other hand. It doesn't always work for everyone but it has worked for all the ladies in my family. Besides, all you've wasted is a few minutes if it doesn't work. :)

    Hope this helps!
