Nursing Bras

I'm having trouble finding a good nursing bra. Right now I am using Motherhood Maternity's crossover sleep bras. They are almost like a sports bra. However, I don't want to wear them when I go back to work...as they don't give any shape. I bought some underwire bras but my lactation consultant said no underwire is best.

Also, before baby I was a size 40C and after using the sizing guide in Motherhood's website, it says I am a 40F???

I don't think my boobs have changed that much. Anyone else have trouble finding the right size?

I can't find any big enough that don't cost $60. I'm a 44f and motherhood didn't have any in stock. I'm wearing nursing camis and bought a bravado brand that's ok.

I have to have an underwire. I am a 38 H right now, 36 F previously and I found an Elomi bra on amazon that I really like. The wires are well outside of the breast so you shouldn't have to worry about clogged ducts.

I'm struggling too. I bought a couple that fit then my milk supply got bigger and they are too small. I bought a couple cotton ones from Walmart that are decent but I want something more supportive.

(lurking from 2nd tri)... Can you link to which one? I ordered one in an XL, that according to the chart should fit (I'm a similar size to you), and it was way too small.

With your size, and the fact that you want a "shapely" bra, you'll probably have to spend some money. Nordstrom carries nice, supportive nursing bras that you can wear out or to work. I am in the same boat as you--uncommon size (32G) and the tanks/sports type bras are not supportive enough for work/ the general public.

I like my Anita brand bras. The best price I found was on Amazon. I also like the Soma Intimates nursing bras, and you may have better luck with the size you need at Soma.
