Seriously I'm still asking this question. LO still will not eat food other than yogurt/oatmeal. I absolutely hate meal times now, its a huge battle and we both get frustrated with each other. Sigh.

What kind of foods is your LO eating on the reg.

  • I did notice he likes to feed himself the yogurt so that's a bonus (though half ends up in his ear/hair). But anything with texture gets spit out. Maybe he's just teething back to back to back.

  • I know he will eventually eat food, maybe when he's 14 he will outgrow the highchair and graduate to finger foods. I should CTFD but I'm a little panicked\stressed.

  • @fishybride82. Most of the time he turns his head and won't even let it in his mouth, then I get a glimmer of hope and he takes a bite, says mmmmmm then spits it out. Lol. I've been getting veggie pouches and mixing them into his yogurt and oatmeal to help him get his nutrients.

  • LO tends to be a picky eater and most foods she flat out refuses.  She loves yogurt, bread, pasta, and bananas.  I swear she would eat them at every meal if I let her. I try to offer one item she likes at a meal along with other items that she is not as crazy about.  I keep hoping that she will eventually eat them.  I have noticed that when she is teething the temperature of the foods makes a huge difference.  She likes things more room temp/cool and not warm.  I guess the cool foods feel better on her gums.  Like you said I really don't want a picky toddler/teenager but I don't know what else to do besides keep offering a variety!
  • Some days she's a good eater...some days she just shakes her head when I try to feed her. Mostly, I can just get her to snack on fruit. She loves blueberries, watermelon, apple, grapes etc.

She obviously eats more at the dayhome, because she always has massive poops during the week compared to the weekend.  So somehow they get her to eat meals.
