Orthostatic hypertension

Well I was diagnosed at age 19 with this and it only occurs occasionally. Usually I just get dizzy. I have only slightly fainted a couple of times! Well tonight I stood up to walk my DH out and stretched. I immediately stated crashing! It was so scary! My DH thought I was joking and I tried to say I'm not, but my words weren't even working! I think I managed to say not joking, but who knows. Things went black and my legs crumbled! I just sat there crying when it was over! Now more than ever I'm afraid of falling! If this keeps up I'm going to glue myself to the couch! Which won't help I know! Anyway just needed to vent somewhere that won't freak everyone out!

    Try sitting up and dangling for a few seconds before actually standing. Don't rise too fast from lying position.

    Thanks ladies! I'll keep that in mind!

    @aronie82 it does slightly I guess, but mine tends to happen more frequently. Like it happens almost every time. Now it gets worse. But it is common in pregnancy!
