Our photographer actually spilled the beans for us via Facebook with one of my sons "big brother" pics when I was only like 9 weeks. I was going to be mad but since this is our last baby, I'm not going to waste energy being irritated about little things. We are excited, and all of our friends/fam are too and that's all that matters.
I voted SS. Family knows, most of our friends, work. My close friends from undergrad I'm telling in person at a wedding this coming weekend. We're not putting anything on fb until we find out the sex, so most of the important people in our lives know.

Immediate family all knows. I announced on Facebook. Some of my co-workers are on my FB, so they know too. I'll be informing my boss tomorrow. Everyone else will end up finding out when my belly is huge.
I've told almost all close friends and immediate family, and will formally announce on Facebook at around 14 weeks. I'm telling the rest of the family at the end of this week.
We only told immediate family at first. Just recently we told most of our family. Today I told my Co workers as it was our first day back. (I'm a teacher) I'm 12 wks 1 day. We have an appointment in 11 days and then we will fb announce and tell the world!
SS with my HG it's hard to hide. I have a zofran pump and a PICC line, and I can't do anything, so we came out locally really early. Our long distance close friends and family know too, but we aren't out on FB yet.
avigailandcharlie - SS means "special snowflake" for if none of the other options apply to you. Folks seem to appreciate having that option on every poll, because it seems like there are always exceptions! (I didn't come up with it, it's a Bump thing.)
