Hi ladies I was a sept 13 mom my name is Kenna and our daughter Alexis was born at 36 weeks.
There has been quite a few of us over there that delivered early.
My son was also a preemie - he was born at 27 weeks. He stayed jn NICU for 2 months but turned out great and now is an 11 year old. My 2nd child went to term.
Background story with my 3rd child- another daughter. I had started to show signs of preeclampsia again as I did with my son. We monitored it very closely. My BP however was getting so high along with protein in my urine. My dr was concerned that I would have a stroke. Even being on strict bed rest my BP would be at numbers that were through the roof - 189/125 which is crazy for laying down doing nothing.
Anyhow last week we ended up doing a csection and she was born. 4 pounds 2 ounces and 17" long. The dr had problems getting her out because she was all snuggled up in my ribs/upper torso. The dr said it was good that we took her out because she was so high that she likely was not getting all that she needed nutrient wise. She had blood sugar problems and issues keeping her body temp. Thankfully we had a great team if nurses who took care of her and she only had to stay 4 extra days.
Anyhow I wanted to come here for support from others going through similar things as well as to help others that are going through it since it is my 2nd preemie.
