XP: It's been a crazy week... (LONGish)

Earlier this week I called a clinic with a donor embryo program that I had inquired about some time ago, but the details were a little fuzzy as the program had just been started. I spoke with the TPR coordinator and she explained the costs, etc to me so then I asked how long their wait-list is. Um, the only list is of embryos waiting!! I got off the phone and had a stroke. All I heard were "embryos available" and forgot how to think! I called back to ask if the RE would do basic immune testing (I had JUST scheduled a consult with Liz's RE who will order the tests!) and was told he would (my RE wouldn't), so I scheduled a phone consult. Last night I spoke to him and absolutely loved him! He didn't think there was anything in my history that indicated IF related immune issues but would order a RPL panel if it would put my mind at ease. (I had an autoimmune thyroid disorder when I was a teen so it does concern me that there may be something else going on.) Also, if you saw my post on the IF board about his explanation of my AMH going up, you'll know that I was impressed with him! Not to mention I have only heard great things about him. Today his office sent lab orders to a lab close to me since they are 4 hours away. I just came home from having 20 vials of blood drawn!! Thank goodness the phlebotomist listened to me and only had to stick me once in the magic vein. I was in & out in 10 min! The craziest thing to me in all of this is how all the pieces are falling into place quickly!! Oh, AND the TPR coordinator sent me the list of available embryos!!! I definitely have a favorite on the list but of course have to discuss it with DH. The majority of the donors sent in photos, which I think was really awesome of them. There was one baby photo that I just "connected" with...sounds odd, I know! I just hope DH feels the same way.  So I guess once we decide which ones to go with we'll move onto the next steps...SIS or hysteroscopy, IDK...too many details in my head right now!

UPDATE: I showed DH all the info and he picked the same batch I did!!!

FET w/donor embryos #1.2: 11/2013 ~ ET of 2 beautiful blasts on 11/27.

    Also, the coordinator said if I have any questions I'd like to ask the donors to let her know and she'll get in touch whit them. Right now all I have is the age of the female and that it's 4 blasts frozen in 2008. Any suggestions? So far I've come up with:

    -Height & weight of donors
    -Family health history
    -Cause of IF
    -Male's age

    Also, this may be a dumb question, but do they grade blasts or is knowing they are blasts good enough info?

    This is amazing news!! Yay for YH picking the same as you!!!

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    TTC since 10/09 Me-43 DH-44 RE and testing 10/10-11/10, Recommending IVF 1/11 New RE AMA and DOR-DH low motility IVF #1.1 cancelled 3/11 due to poor response IVF #1.2 May 2011, one perfect 8-cell embryo, 3dt-BFN, IVF #2.1 Converted to IUI d/t poor response. New RE 9/2011. IVF 2.2 completed using HGH,EPP,DHEA, Q-10 and accupuncture. Transferred one 8-cell, grade one embryo on 10/19. BFP 10/31/11 Chemical pregancy on 11/2/11. Started stims for IVF #3, our final try, on 12-2-11. ET on 12/18. Transferred 3 Grade A embryos-BFFN Planning DE IVF, late March/early April- Donors ER expected to be 4/2-4/4. PAIF/SAIF welcome

     9/29/13 - m/c @ 5w1d. :(

    11/19/13 - DEmbryo FET #3. Thawed and transferred one blast from each batch. Wow!

    6w5d ultrasound showed one perfect baby with a beautiful heartbeat of 134bpm!

    October 2013 FET of our last 2 = Beta Hellzz for 6-7 Weeks. M/C

    What great news!! Congrats on moving forward!!  :)

    Me: AMA, DOR, undetectable AMH, carrier of SMA, MTHFR homozygous C677T, high cytokines, low IGg B cells, Factor XIII V34l mutation, High Anti-Phosphatidylethanolmine, borderline hypothyroid and mildly insulin resistant.

     

    MH: No known issues, aside from MTHFR.

     

    Recommendations from RI: LIT, Humira, IVIG, Lovenox, Baby Aspirin, Folic Acid, Low-dose synthroid and Metformin.

     

    Currently taking:  Pre-Natal vitamins, Foltanx, Low-dose synthroid and Metformin. 

     

    When cycling also taking: Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, Humira and IVIG.

     

    TTC since 7/11/09..with medical intervention starting in 2010, including 4 failed IVF's and 6 failed IUI's...only "success" was a chemical pregnancy in 11/2012 (credited to use of DE).

    FET #1 (11th cycle) on 8/23/13 = BFN.

    FET #2 (12th cycle) Transfer of last two (day 6) donor egg blasts on 1/22/14 = BFP, EDD = 10/10/14 (please stick little BOY!)

    TTC since June 2011
    DX: DH (30) severe MFI, severely low count & low motility
    Me (32): all clear
    Appt with Urologist 5/21/12: exam, ultrasound, bloodwork all normal.
    Testicular Biopsy with TESE on 6/8/12. good sperm found! (left side only) froze sperm, failed thaw test :(
    Orientation for IVF/ICSI on 6/13/12. Waiting for the green light following biopsy results...results show adequate sperm production both sides.
    2nd SA 6/18/12: sample is "adequate for ICSI"
    Plan: IVF/ICSI July 2012!
    ER: 7/26/12. 15 eggs retrieved, all mature.
    TESE/TESA/aspiration from epididymis, no motile sperm found :(
    froze all eggs, the saga of praying for good sperm continues.
    8/3/12: 2nd opinion from MFI uro on biopsy slides. Suspects "partial late maturation arrest."
    Plan: more SAs, third biopsy/TESE with frozen back-up either from DH or DS.
    SA 8/17/12: Zero sperm
    SA 8/23/12: Zero sperm
    9/26/12: SPERM FOUND! 15 eggs thawed, 12 survived and were ICSI'd, only 3 fertilized normally. Refrozen as embies and will thaw in Nov. Please survive and grow!
    All 3 survived the thaw on 11/15/12!
    FET 11/17/12: transferred 2, one 4B, one 4C. Beta 11/30:BFFN
    moving on to DS

    DP, I am so very happy that you were able to turn your situation around!

    Its a lot of work to change clinics. It's not easy to go somewhere new, but I think this was absolutely the right move for you!!!

    DS IUI#1-2 (9/12, 10/12) - BFN

    DS IVF: (11/12) - BFN

    DE/DS IVF#1: (10/13) - 2 day 3 embies transferred-BFFN

    FET of 2 day 6 blasts: (12/13) - c/p

    DE/DS IVF #2: (4/14) - 1 day 5 blast transferred...BFFN...again.

    FET 5/14: 1 day 5 hatching blast transferred...another BFFN

    Repeat SHG 6/14-normal / Endometrial Receptivity Array biopsy 7/14-Receptive Uterus

    New RE, additional testing reveals elevated NK Cells

    FET of 1 day 5 blast (RE recommends transferring 1 due to elevated NK cells) with lovenox, steroids & intralipids in October
