  Getting testing is a good start. You have been at it for over a year so getting some more info would be good for you.

  Welcome to the group.  Sounds like you are going in the right direction, especially since you been trying for over a year.....best of luck with your visit and wishing you an early Happy Birthday!   My B-Day is right before you....on the 4th!  Hopefully, we both get the birthday gift of our dreams of a Baby!  :x

  Welcome... I agree with pp seeing an RE for testing is a great way to start.  It can take some time to get an appointment so I would start as soon as you can.  I know it is tough but just look at is as one step closer to being a mommy Before you see an RE and ahv any testing done check your insurance coverage.  I didn't and had a few shocking bills.

  I have $2000 IF coverage every 12 consecutive months.  I talked to the re office today and I am actually going to start at my OB with my husband.  He is going to write a script for his SA and I will see what he has to say.  If I go right to the RE it is going to come out of the little coverage I have.   

  TTC since May/June 2012

  SA #1 Low motility (17%) 

  SA #2 Lower sperm count, but much higher motility

  So sorry that you have been trying awhile. I know it is frustrating. For me, getting tested was empowering even though nothing was actually found "wrong" with either DH or I. You can still ask for treatment that does no harm but can do good. For me, this means taking extra vitamins, baby aspirin, and progesterone during the two week window. I hope your road to parenthood isn't too much longer.

  It's fine to do your initial testing with your Ob, but don't hesitate to take the next step after your tests and seek treatment.

  Me: 37; DH: 35, SA normal ttc 1st since 11/2011 1/2013: HSG 2/2013-4/2013: acupuncture 3/2013: SHG 4/9/13: lap removed stage 2 endo & ovarian cyst 9/2013-11/2013: Clomid 3x 12/2013: IUI/superO 2013: spent $4,900 on treatment Waiting until 1/2015 for IVF insurance

  Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.
