Ear tags/ skin tags

My DD was born with skin tags, or ear tags, extra skin grew in front of her ears. She is 9 1/2 months old now, I was just wondering if any one else has a child that was born with these. Our pediatrician swears they are common but until DD was born I had never seen anyone with them.

    My DD was born with one in front of her right ear.  We had it surgically removed when she was 1 1/2 months old. She is now 5 months old and just has a little red dot where it was.
